The Finance Office exists to support the convention, associations, and churches in carrying out the Great Commission of our Lord Jesus Christ by providing quality and timely administrative support for the work of all our co-laborers in Christ.

*A bi-annual Church Compensation Survey for SBC churches is sponsored by SCBI, GuideStone Financial Resources and LifeWay Christian Resources. Church finance and personnel committees use the results to establish competitive compensation packages for ministers and support staff. Ministers, secretaries, and maintenance/custodial staff are invited to participate.
Responsibilities of the Business Services Department

Receiving, accounting for and disbursing Cooperative Program and designated funds in accordance with Annual Budget and Executive Committee approved capital expenditures.

Provide financial Reporting on Cooperative Program and designated gifts from Indiana Southern Baptist Churches, Southern Baptist Convention affiliates, and individuals.

Coordinating the annual audit of the Convention’s financial records by Capin & Crouse.

Coordinating the property, casualty, and liability insurance program for the Executive Committee.

Maintaining the fixed asset records for the Convention’s fixed assets.

Serving as a committee resource to the Executive Committee, Administrative Committee, and Baptist Foundation Board.

Overseeing the preparation, control, and reporting of the annual budget.

Management of the Convention’s information systems.

Serving as a resource for Associations and Churches on accounting systems, tax matters, employee benefits, and preparation of Annual Church Profile.

Oversees payroll and benefits administration for employees of the Convention.
